Meetings

The City of Paris Board of Commissioners meet at 6:00 pm the first Thursday of each month.  Board of Commission meetings are held in the City Hall Courtroom at 100 North Caldwell Street,  Paris, Tennessee.

Type of Government

The City of Paris is chartered as a City Manager-Commission form of government. The City Commission is elected by the people of the City of Paris. The Mayor and Vice Mayor are elected by the City Commissioners from the five (5) commissioner board. All Commission members are elected at-large. The Mayor and City Commission acting together are the Governing Body. All Governing Body members serve four-year terms. The Governing Body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies of the City.
