Get moving and get fit! The Paris Civic Center is designed with the family in mind:

Weight/Aerobic Room/Walking Track

The weight room features stationary and free weight equipment and operates on a first come, first serve basis. Treadmills, elliptical machines, rowers, and an indoor walking track are all available for cardiovascular exercise. Aerobic and silver sneakers (seniors) classes are offered and range from beginning to advanced levels.


M-F: 6 am – 9:30 pm Sat: 8 am – 5 pm Sun: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Loral Burke, an on-site personal trainer, offers fitness assessments, nutritional consultations, weight and cardiovascular conditioning. She specializes in traditional aerobics, aquatics, and circuit/interval training. Learn more about Loral’s services at Get Loral

Swimming Pool


The indoor pool is open 7 days a week for the avid swimmer. Planned activities include beginners’ lessons, water aerobics, and lifeguard training classes. The pool can be rented on Saturday or Sunday between 5 and 8 pm.

The Paris Piranhas swim team, coached by Sarah Newbill, holds its practices at the Civic Center pool. The Piranhas are a member of the Memphis Swim Conference (MSW). Kids, ages 5 – 17, who are interested may contact Newbill at 615-202-3670.

Pool Hours:

M-F: 6 am – 7:30 am and 5 pm – 9 pm
Sat: 9:30 am – 5 pm and Sun: 1 pm – 5 pm


The gym is equipped with basketball and volleyball courts. Equipment may be checked out at the main desk. Locker rooms and showers are available.


M-F: 4 pm – 9:30 pm, Sat: 8 am – 5 pm, and Sun: 1 – 4 pm.


Persons using the Paris Civic Center are required to pay a daily fee, or for those frequent users, a membership pass is available at a very affordable rate. Memberships can be purchased at the recreation center’s office.
